Following the arrests of the civil activists of Azerbaijan, more than 60 people were taken into custody in Mehr, a number of who were arrested on the funeral ceremony of Ebrahim Jafarzadeh and his family, and the rest of them for their civil and cultural activities. Unfortunately, following the routine trend in the Islamic Republic of Iran’s regime, most of the arrested ones have been tortured at being arrested and also after on. As a sample Mrs. Faranak Farid can be mentioned, whose being harshly beaten was followed by a surge of international protests, to the point that Ahmad Shahid, the special reporter of the nited Nations, referred to Faranak Farid in his first report about the human rights violation in Iran.

some of the prisoners who suffer from cardiac, pulmonary and renal problems, and etc. Ghader Norouzi, Ali Sirnak and Mohammad Alimoradi who have been severely tortured and suffer from serious injuries have not medically been treated yet.
Even though it had been announced that some of these activists would be tried on Mehr 26th, their trial was cancelled for some unknown reasons. Saeed Na’imi’s trial which was due on Mehr
27th was not held on the pretext that the concerned judge was ill, and this human rights activist is still imprisoned.
